The state property compendium is located in the centre of the Municipality of Parma, in via Padre Onorio n. 6 on the edge of the medieval walls to the south-east of the city, inside the large triangle formed by the viale delle mura (viale San Michele), the historic via delle Riparazione (now via Padre Onorio), Borgo Regale and Strada Nuova. It consists of a former church from around 1300, deconsecrated in 1805, a cloister and a former convent belonging to the order of the Eremites.\r\nThis complex is already represented on a 15th century map of Parma, preserved in the State Archives, with the linear figures of the main churches existing in the city at that time: Duomo, San Giovanni Evangelista, San Pietro, San Luca degli Eremitani, Sant'Uldarico, San Michele in Bosco, l'Annunciata and San Benedetto.\r\nThe religious structure was suppressed in the early '800s due to the Napoleonic laws and, since then, was used for military purposes. The state property complex, consisting of the former Church and adjacent former Convent, can be defined as \"forgotten\" because in 1995 the Ministry of Defence, which occupied it as a military depot under the name of \"Barracks Passo Buole\", returned it to the Ministry of Finance, determining the complete and definitive resignation of its spaces. \r\n","descrizione_analitica":"The layout of the church dates back to the fifteenth century: the rectangular area is divided into three naves, with 15 altars, supported by pillars that mark the interior space with six chapels on each side, including the transept pillars, and each is concluded respectively by an apsidiole with two side windows. The sixteenth-century look can still largely be perceived in the fa\u00e7ade from the four large pilasters decorated at the top with four cuneiform capitals. In the centre, the fa\u00e7ade ends with a triangular tympanum, providing an overall and unique sense of monumentality, in line with architectural traditions from the Po Valley, and engaging styles from the Late Romanesque to the Gothic and Proto-Renaissance periods. The counter-fa\u00e7ade is characterised by the eye of the new round rose window, which replaced the previous opening in around the eighteenth century. Finally, the presbytery has been extensively modified following an infill that separated it from an ancient sanctuary and the central nave; in turn, the presbytery and apse were compromised by the construction of a loft that divided the volumes horizontally. The apse in particular is very deep and is finished off by a remarkable external architecture, which seems to preserve, more than other parts of the church, some traits of the primitive Gothic structures, similarly to the colonnade of the semi-walled cloister, but where the medieval capitals can still be seen. Most of the changes have occurred over time since 1805, and these spoliations have left San Luca in a state of neglect and poverty. Its many uses over the course of the two centuries, however, has allowed for the substantial preservation of its history. Among the most important interventions is the construction of the building adjacent to the central corridor nearest the first courtyard from the convent which was used as a military bakery and whose traces are evident from the remaining large built-in ovens. The poor maintenance and conservation conditions of the building, left abandoned for over twenty years, as well as the presence of weeds in the inner courtyards, are especially noticeable. This state of conservation results from the continued abandonment of the structure. In fact, in the early 2000s, the complex was involved in a project that was never actually carried out, for the recovery of the local State Archives of Parma; however, once the idea to reuse the building had been overcome, without any structural intervention, but exclusively with works to make the site safe and conserve it, the complex once again became available to the State Property Agency, after the plan was withdrawn in August 2018 by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. The context in which the compendium is inserted, between Borgo Lalatta, Borgo Regale and Viale San Michele, is mainly residential, and is characterised by a consolidated fabric, with contiguous, linear building, with an ancient layout, alternating with buildings with a more modern formation, dating back to the second half of the 20th century.\u00a0 \u00a0In particular, the state property complex borders to the north with the Maria Luigia National Boarding School, one of the largest state schools in Parma, founded in 1831 by the union between the Collegio dei Nobili and the Collegio Lalatta, and includes a primary school, a first level secondary school and three second level secondary schools: a classical high school, a scientific high school and a European classical high school.
