The project consists of two large areas, to the North and to the South of the existing road that is the object of redevelopment. To the north will be located the tourist complex, made of three blocks apparently detached but actually linked together through a common basement, partially embedded in the slope, with large windows in the downhill facing facades. Thanks to this basement, all the common areas are centralised in a single location. Over the basement stands the main volume of the complex (up to 5 levels above ground) with a fairly traditional architecture but strongly innovative design and materials. The view over the spectacular Adamello glaciers, and the proximity to ski slopes and to the road network are the strong points of this complex. The central part of the complex will house restaurants \u201con the slopes\u201d, ski school and complementary activities (ski and trekking equipment shops and rental, delis).<\/p>\r\n
Due to its central position, this block is placed directly over the car parks and near the main street.\u00a0 <\/span>To the south, the project involves the construction of a group of small residential buildings. It is located at the confluence of the two streams from which the river Oglio rises, and it is the highest village in Valcamonica. The resort offers several attractions and the chance to practise a large range of activities in the nature throughout the year, like hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, crossing the glaciers.<\/p>\r\n In winter Ponte di Legno is one of the most important ski resorts in Lombardy, with its 100 kilometres of ski slopes with artificial snow and 30 ski lifts.<\/p>\r\n The project Prati Alti involves an area of about 95.000 sqm in a central position between the villages Ponte di Legno and Passo del Tonale.
